Glitch August 25th

     She'd heard the word from Theodore Miller first.

     Age thirteen at the time, he'd been deeply engrossed in one of his more barbaric videogames when something odd happened: an object, not one of any great importance or appeal, had somehow wound up in the middle of his digital path. The brawny thug under his control had inspected the object, jumped on it, punched it, and finally shot at it several times before Theodore finally decided that the object was just an error, a mistake. A glitch.

     And Glitch fancied herself just that.

They Watch You Sleep They Watch You Sleep:

There are many bards who can tell you tales
Of the creeping shadows that come at night
We've seen them crawling along the walls
In the absence of the light...

On the darkest of nights, cold and chill
You can hear them quietly gibbering.
They speak of things that you cannot know
Which is why they are always whispering.

It is said that they will know the future
and that they know the fate of every man
They are here to watch his path unfold
or perhaps to have him damned...

These sick and twisted animals
Bear a stench that is rather foul
But you will only smell this scent
if they choose to remove their cowl

They rode upon the backs of thundering horses
for faith had unleashed a terrible beast
These men would offer their souls in service
to the dark unholy priests...

"To what end do we serve our Lord and Master
is justice not the ultimate form of faith?

to cleanse the Earth of this heathen waste!"

It was these orators, chaplains of faith;
men of the cloth who bore a fire
They lit their brothers with impassioned speeches
fueled by their own desire...

They taught their followers that blood was faith
and devotion was found at the edge of a blade

The Secret of the Trees Beneath the glow of the twisting moon, we can feel
a horror beginning its birth. The serpent will slither
into a moistened cave and the blood will spill from broken lips

The secret was hidden beneath the trees, where the lovers
were kissed and never told. Yet the stains remain upon the grass.
Never to be erased...

How many times will I return, to a place I wish
I'd never see. Perhaps it is a way for me
To think of that which I regret...

But the man would never remind himself, of the horror
unleashed beneath falling leaves. The petals bear witness
to the struggled screaming, muffled by hands and feet.

Depth Actions that draw no meaning
Will drown the reason and depth of seeking.
It collapses probity, but painting truths of lies
As I deceive all ceramic eyes.

Justice shall play on these empty fingers.
Emotion engraved in each nerve of the eye that lingers.
Truth buried beneath the skeleton that frames existence.
Reason will paint minds that listen.

What is the sin trying to achieve,
If no one could clearly perceive?
It lives unseen. The answer lies in blue.

The Madman's Poem The condition is understood. To myself, I lie.
The selfish justice drowned with pride.
Loss of acceptancy... The delusion dies...
I dont know you, I dont know you! But you are evil, fall into desire.
The words float around and pierce my eyes.
What is it living for? What would it get?
Satisfied yet?

Yet i yearn to paint it out.
Am i acting as justice, lurking behind doubt?
Question and answer fights.
Where does the meaning hide?
Where does the meaning hide?
What is the sin?
What is the sin?
What is it trying to achieve?
No! In the end, you wouldn't understand or see...

Videogames A devilish smirk paints
His face as his video game awaits.
He sits on his sacred throne of escape.
Ecstatic nerves pump electricity as he begins to play.

Trembling fingers meet the cool surface of the controller.
Pupils dilate. Euphoria rushes through his soul.
He soars away from this earth, to a place unknown.
To absolute fantasy, his mind has flown.

But a voice inside incurs and says,
"Be careful. That illusion has mastered the art of escape.
Its fantasy toys with your mind.
Walking into insanity as you try

So hard to escape from yourself and own.

Hello, and this is the first blog for create inspiration (hopefully many more will come after). I just want to thank everyone who has joined or has their beautiful work in our gallery. Since the holiday are upon us, so is inspiration. Maybe you may be inspired by how a child reacts by seeing Santa at the mall. Something about that is magical, wouldn't you think so? I am going to put up a quote, and I want to know how it inspired you. Whether it be big or small. Did it inspire you to write a story or maybe draw something? Maybe it brought back some memory from your childhood which brings the inspiration? All it takes is one spark.

Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone.
